We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the Dealbook. We do not sell personal data.
Usage analytics is on by default for signed-in members and can be turned off in Settings → Privacy. Turning it off stops new recording immediately. Records already made are deleted on the normal 90-day schedule below. Visitors who are not signed in are counted without any identifier.
Usage analytics (deal views, sessions): Deleted automatically after 90 days
Account, bookmarks, saved searches: Until you close your account, then deleted
Corrections you submit: [e.g. kept as part of the editorial record for the deal, with your email removed on request]
Subscription status copy: Refreshed daily; rows for cancelled subscriptions are [kept for history / removed]
Sign-in security logs: [per Supabase default; state the period]
Supabase — Database, authentication and file storage — US East
Netlify — Hosts the app — Global CDN
Beehiiv — Newsletter and subscription records; the source of membership status — United States
GitHub — Runs the daily job that copies subscription status from Beehiiv, and the deal-sourcing agents — United States
Anthropic — AI model used to extract deal records from published sources. No member data is sent to it — United States
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, or to close your Dealbook account, email [email protected]. Closing your account deletes your profile, bookmarks, saved searches and any usage records tied to you; it does not cancel your newsletter subscription.
The Dealbook stores your sign-in token and a few display preferences (for example, list or table view) in your browser's local storage. These are needed for the app to work and are not used for tracking. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
We will note the date of the latest change here. Material changes are shown to members on their next sign-in.
